On May 6, voters were called to vote for their representatives before parliament had completed the four-year term provided for by the Constitution.

The demand of the small parties and the indignant was that two-party rule should be disapproved by electing other political formations which, supposedly, through their cooperation would lead us out of deadlock and decline.

From morning until night, the media urged voters to bring forward uncorrupted, new and capable members of parliament. They urged them to condemn the two large parties and open the way to a government of cooperation and concord.

What was the result? The small parties won, together with the extremes of the left and the farthest extremes of the right, and decided not to cooperate, even though two-party rule had been condemned by misled and credulous voters.

The small parties that won judged that there must be elections again. On 17 June 2012. In the summer. During the tourist season, which had already fallen by 50 percent.

This was the decision of the sovereign people: to hold elections again. And the economy? Never mind. Tsipras has it covered.

The small parties that grew larger won. Yet the same people were elected as members of parliament, through other parties, together with a few new people, unknown and insignificant.

Dissatisfied and exposed PASOK figures joined SYRIZA.

The worn-out figures of ND joined Kammenos, and those disapproved from LAOS entered ND.

For years we watched Giannis Manolis of ND on television. Now we see the same man again with Kammenos. We heard the voice of the Karatzaferis-affiliated Georgiadis. Now we hear and see the same man again with ND, together with Voridis and Plevris.

We again enjoy Dinopoulos with his ability to speak without taking a breath. We rejoice in the son of Mitsotakis. We are charmed by the nephew of Alevras. We are magnetized by the rippling and full speech of Papariga, accompanied by the daughter of Konstantopoulos. Nepotism? What are you talking about?

In general, we are living as before. We have no complaint. The people spoke and judged. They put things in their place and put Kammenos in parliament, together with Michaloliakos of Golden Dawn.

From the elections of May 6, the same people emerged again, enlisted in different parties. Now they take back what they supported until yesterday, while praising their new party friends: those whom they used to denounce, curse and condemn as traitors, oath-breakers, collaborators and submissive figures.

Suddenly yesterday's opponents became capable of governing, great and eminent. In other words, complete schizophrenia, which is contagious and ends in a pandemic.

The party people of the two far-left parties remained exactly the same. Without drawing breath, they speak endlessly, having the ability to say everything and nothing.

From their monotonous and verbose monologues one can distinguish the repeated key words popular masses, popular strata, memorandum, popular gains and other stereotypes that make their speech wooden, colorless, tasteless and repellent.

The professional politicians of the right, or center-right, forgetting the omissions, failures, clumsiness, corruption and rot of the Karamanlis party, advertise their supposedly new political merchandise as though there had been no past.

With the repetition of its worn political language and the appearance of its worn representatives, ND does not seem to possess a team of capable, fresh, uncorrupted, experienced, successful and patriotic people who could give forward momentum toward economic and social recovery.

Only by seeing the son of Varvitsiotis and the former president of ONNED does one understand into whose hands the fate of the country is passing.

The party of the far left with its unknown components has already broken loose. Just try to gather the representatives of SYRIZA as they support different positions each time.

One supports increasing taxes and persecuting anyone who can still support his family. Another declares that businesses will be taxed more harshly and that those who insist on maintaining companies that drink the worker's blood will be persecuted. A third wants to tax shipping that operates outside the country. Someone else envisions confiscating deposits so that they can be given to state enterprises.

All together they declare that the salaries of idle officeholders flooding the state mechanism will be restored and that they will hire another hundred thousand employees to sit as well, added to the armies paid with the borrowed money of foreigners, the usurers.

PASOK continues to hope for a comeback and the completion of its work, which, as its constitutional-law scholar leader promises, will be work of experience. What the son of Andreas did not have time to level, Evangelos will take care of.

With those whom we insist on choosing, we will have no future; perhaps there will be no present either. The people do not learn from suffering. They like to suffer and die. We are already suffering from electoral fever. We need antipyretics that we do not have. So what remains after the new elections?

A miracle.
