The Russian artist of street art Normez brings old abandoned buildings to life, turning them into realistic faces. Nikita Normez comes from the city of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia. Here we present part of his collective work called “The wall living”.
These works were created during his travels around his homeland. Normez chooses to create street art in urban centers and mainly on abandoned buildings, because there he can work undisturbed. He says that the purpose of his graffiti is not to destroy, but to fill the urban void. His sources of inspiration are cities, people, music, films and the works of other artists.
Normez discovered small treasures on his journeys and gave breath to forgotten buildings. In his art he often incorporates architectural elements, such as windows, turning them into eyes, doors into mouths and anything else that can spark his imagination.
